Rose Quartz falls under the macro-crystalline Quartz (large crystals) group, where gemstones are cut in general from a single crystal. Other popular gemstones in this group are Amethyst, Ametrine, Citrine, Green Amethyst (Prasiolite), Lemon Quartz, Rutilated Quartz and Smokey Quartz.
Rose Quartz is produced mainly in cabochon cut as clean transparent pieces are rare. Most Rose Quartz tend to be cloudy or sleepy, which enhances the pink colour.
